Be mindful of your thoughts

Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

I think I balance the anxiety and depression throughs evenly. Anxiety involves worrying about future events and making predictions that your brain is trying to prepare for, even though they may not actually occur.

Depression is worrying about all the things that have occurred in the past. Dumb things you say to people and ruminate over after they've probably long forgotten.

I try to spend more time thinking about the present and the tasks that need to be completed today. I'm working on enjoying the moment more and building memories with all five senses. You have to learn to kill the ANTs (automatic negative thoughts) as they try to invade your brain.
